Welcoming Accountability Counsel’s new Executive Director

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we share with you that, after an exhaustive search, Margaux Day has been appointed Accountability Counsel’s next Executive Director.

Margaux will take on the Executive Director role at a time when Accountability Counsel’s mission – and our collective effort – to shift power to communities protecting their land, livelihoods, and environment is as urgent as ever. Margaux will begin her tenure as Executive Director on February 26, 2024 and will be based in our Washington, DC office.

Accountability Counsel’s Board also wants to take this moment to express our gratitude to Lani Inverarity for her exceptional leadership as Interim Executive Director. We are fortunate to continue to benefit from her leadership as Lani returns to her role as Director of Programs and Strategy.
