Natasha Matic, Ph.D.
Dr. Matic is a strategist with twenty-five years of experience in philanthropy, economic development, and system level change. Currently, Natasha is the Executive Director of the Accountability Accelerator, a component of the Global Commons Alliance. As a grant-maker and convener, the Accelerator deploys philanthropic resources to support accountability stakeholders locally and globally to push for and scale corporate and financial institutions’ positive action on nature.
Previously, Natasha served as the Deputy CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at the King Khalid Foundation, a leading philanthropic institution in the Middle East, working to build the local social development ecosystem and improve corporate sustainability practices. Natasha co-designed the first Sustainability Award and capacity building program for the corporate sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Through her own consulting practice, over two decades, Natasha supported a variety of philanthropic and civil society organizations globally on strategic philanthropy, social and environmental accountability, program development, stakeholder engagement, and partnership building.
Natasha holds a Ph.D. in Economic Development Studies from Boston University and a Certificate in Business Excellence (CIBE) from Columbia Business School. She is a Member of AccountAbility’s Sustainability Standards Board, and MIT Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship’s Advisory Board.
