2018 Strengthening OPIC’s Project and Client Application Process

Building on our advocacy for stronger due diligence and monitoring processes, we submitted several joint submissions of recommendations to strengthen seven of OPIC’s client application and monitoring forms. As a result of our advocacy, in 2018 OPIC strengthened parts of its application process, including its application for financing, to better identify potential clients’ human rights, environmental, and social practices.
