Tom Hurst is a recent graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland; he attained a First Class classification in his International Relations and Philosophy degree. Through his work with the International Accountability Project, he has gained professional experience advocating for human rights in the development finance space and is well acquainted with the policy landscape surrounding US-based development banks. He is currently working with the Coalition for Human Rights and Development as part of their Communications and Advocacy team. As a Research Intern at Accountability Counsel, Tom will assist with case-specific research in support of communities facing adversity, as well as engaging with the wider ecosystem of accountability mechanisms. In his spare time, Tom hosts a bi-weekly radio show based in his hometown of Winchester and has years of experience organizing music events in several cities around the UK.
