John Wilton

John Wilton worked for 23 years at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., where he served in many positions, ending his career as the Vice President for Strategy, Finance, and Risk Management and CFO. In 2006, he joined Farallon Capital Management LLC, a global, multi-strategy, US-based investment management firm where he served as the Director of International Research and as a Managing Director. He was also an advisor on global economic developments to Hellman and Friedman LLC, a private equity company. From 2011 to 2016, he served as UC Berkeley’s Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance where he was responsible for managing Berkeley’s overall financial business plan, overseeing the work of the CFO, CIO, VC for HR, VC for Business Services and Athletics. He then worked as a Senior Advisor for McKinsey & Company as well as private consultant, before accepting his current post in 2018 as Deputy President of the National University of Singapore. He also serves on the boards of two private investment companies and two non-governmental organizations.
