Anna Borromeo recently earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She was an Emmerich de Vattel International Law Scholar and graduated with honors, concentrating in business law. During law school, Anna spent a summer in Geneva, Switzerland, working with the International Trade Centre, a joint agency of the United Nations and World Trade Organization. She provided legal research and assistance for the Myanmar Trade and Investment Project. She has also worked with the Cuyahoga County Agency of Inspector General and the City of Chicago Department of Law in the Finance and Economic Development Division.
Prior to law school, Anna attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and a minor in global studies focusing on East Asia, human rights, and justice. Anna and her family have also been long-time volunteers for Mission: East Asian National Support (MEANS), an organization that connects donors to recipients and development projects primarily in the Philippines. Anna has always been passionate about sustainability, human rights, and international development, so she is excited to start her legal career as a post-graduate law fellow with the Accountability Counsel team.
